Hennessy Paradis, created in 1979, is born from an extraordinary selection: over 100 eaux-de-vie, chosen not by age, but by harmony. Only those showing exceptional complexity, silky texture, and an enveloping finish are selected.
Its creation is as precise as it is intuitive:
- The white wine is distilled twice in traditional copper stills.
- It is first aged in new French oak barrels (from the Limousin forest) to provide structure.
- Then transferred to old barrels, where the spirit matures slowly—with no rush, no shortcuts.
It’s here that the legacy of chestnut wood comes into play. In the 19th century, before oak became dominant, Hennessy used barrels made from chestnut—abundant in the region.
